Community and Sponsorship.
Think global, act local.
At b.solar, we are part of a global community that cares passionately about leaving our planet in its best possible condition for our children to inherit.
Even though what we all do has a global impact, however small, to make a meaningful difference, we choose to act locally. As Australians ourselves, we’re supporting some great Australian organisations and causes that are helping to keep Australia great for future generations.
Melbourne United Basketball Team.
Making their NBL debut in 1984 as the Melbourne Tigers they won to two championships in the 1990s. Four consecutive NBL Grand Finals followed between 2006-09, with championships coming in 2006 and 2008. Renamed Melbourne United in May 2014, the franchise won their first NBL Championship since adopting the Melbourne United name in 2018.
What we love about Melbourne United. Melbourne United is committed to grass roots basketball, and has touch points with over 100,000 kids annually, through community programs and basketball clinics both in metropolitan and regional Victoria. We love that Melbourne United is immersed in the community, championing basketball and keeping Australian kids engaged, focused and active.
The Adelaide 36ers, also known as the Sixers, were originally called the Adelaide City Eagles when they joined the NBL in 1982, but changed their name to the 36ers the following year. The 36ers nickname comes from the fact that the Colony of South Australia was officially proclaimed on 28 December 1836.
What we love about Adelaide 36ers. The 36ers’ tally of four championships is equal with the New Zealand Breakers, and third only behind the Perth Wildcats and Melbourne United as the most by any club in the NBL’s history. For a small city, we think that’s an amazing achievement!
Solar Citizens is an independent, community-based organisation bringing together millions of solar owners and supporters to grow and protect solar in Australia. Together, they take action to protect the rights of millions of Australians with solar to cut bills, create clean power and take energy generation back into their own hands.
What we love about Solar Citizens. Solar Citizens is a people powered movement standing up for the rights of solar owners and sensible clean energy policies. This grassroots community has made many wins in the solar industry, and we think that’s fantastic!
We are a Take 2 Member
We have taken the pledge to TAKE2 to help reach Victoria’s target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We believe that by working together, we play our part and take action on climate change for Victoria, our country and our planet. We have joined thousands of others already playing their part to help keep the temperature rise under two degrees, so we can avoid the worst of climate change.
What we love about Take 2. Everyone can make a difference, if we all act today and together for a better tomorrow. We love that Take 2 is a community initiative that anyone in Victoria can be part of. We’ve taken the pledge to build a better Victoria for future generations and we hope you will too.
