B Solar
The sun is orbiting the Milky Way approximately 24,ooo – 26,000 light years from the galactic centre. When it’s at the galactic north pole, the sun orbits clockwise and will take between 225-250 million years to complete an orbit. Right now, the sun is in the inner rim of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. It’s about 30,000 light years from the centre of the galaxy.
